U.S. LABEL COMPARISON

Compare magnesium.

Compare elemental magnesium, not the weight of the whole compound. Different serving sizes can hide a different amount.

Put your prices on equal terms.

Enter a full-pack price for each product in the same currency. Results use that currency, exclude shipping and tax unless you include them, and are calculated only in your browser. These are comparison units, not recommended doses.

How the calculation works

Cost per labelled serving = pack price ÷ labelled servings. Cost per comparison amount = pack price ÷ (labelled servings × declared ingredient amount per serving) × comparison amount.

For example, a hypothetical price of 24 for 90 servings of 200 mg gives 0.13 per 100 mg, rounded to two decimals. Calculations inherit any uncertainty in the original label; an approximate serving count produces an approximate result. Equal ingredient quantities do not establish equal absorption, quality or suitability.

What this comparison can tell you

Published label differences and arithmetic using your prices. It cannot establish purity, effectiveness, absorption or personal suitability. Selected examples, not a ranked list or complete market survey. How products are selected.

Before you follow the price

The citrate example lists 400 mg per three capsules; the other two examples list 200 mg per two tablets. A lower cost per serving alone does not mean a lower cost per equal amount of magnesium.
